About the National Federation of Social Educators (SL)
The National Federation of Social Educators (SL) is a trade union for about 34,000 professionals. They are social educators, foster carers, directors, assistants and artisans. They work with children, young people and adults who need special care due to physical or mental disabilities, or social problems.
About the Solution
SL was originally created in Sitecore version 4.3 and the original solution had organically grown to over 100.000 pages. Nemetos migrated the 4.3 solution to Sitecore 6.2, re-writing all of the codebase so the solution complied with 2010 standards for web development.
The solution combines the website itself, www.sl.dk, the Magazine for the members, www.socialpaedagogen.dk and the range of sites for the SL semi-annual conference, http://www.sl-kongres.dk/ which includes integration with external providers of streaming video. The site also includes integration with the member database, the “TR-portal”
